Callie’s Lake and Campground welcomes off-road clubs and overland groups to stay with us as you explore Red River Gorge. With our beautiful views around our lake, it’s the ideal location to camp in groups. We also have plenty of space to park trailers on our property. We have many planned off-roading events throughout the year. These events consist of planned routes by level of dificulty, entry fees often donated to non-profits and music concerts almost always close out the day. It’s a great way to get our on the trails and meet a ton of new like-minded friends.

Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway
The Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway in Red River Gorge is a four wheel drive route comprised of various public roads and trials throughout the Daniel Boone National Forest. The DBBB is moderate difficulty and open to licensed vehicles. On the trails you will experience various water crossings, beautiful scenery and obstacles including rocks, hill climbs and mud.
We highly suggest that you never travel the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway alone. There are many off-road groups in the area that have regularly scheduled rides in the region. We also hold many events that depart from Callie’s Lake and Campground to go four-wheeling in the Red River Gorge Area. Please follow our Facebook page for updates about upcoming rides.
