We would be happy to answer any questions that you may have about our camping facilities. Before you send us an email or call, please review all our most frequent questions we asked below. It is likely that your question will be answered. Thanks so much for considering Callie’s Lake and Campground for your Red River Gorge getaway.
Are we open?
Yes!
Do we allow pets?
Yes, as long as they are on leash and you clean up after them! (This is a must)
Do we allow fishing?
Yes. $5 per adult for campers and the public. Fishing is catch and release only!
Will my camper / rv fit in the sites?
Yes. Our sites are made to fit any size camper / rv that you may have.
What electric amp at the sites?
All of our electric sites have both 30 and 50 amp. They also have two standard 110 outlets.
How much is primitive camping?
$10 per person. 12 and under are free.
Do I need to reserve a primitive camp site?
No. We have plenty and never sell out. Worse case is you may not have a picnic table or grill box at your site.
Do all sites have fire pits, picnic tables, and grill boxes?
All sites have fire pits and picnic tables. Some primitive sites have grill boxes.
Are we open year round?
Yes, the campground is open year round. The store closes from Dec 1 – March 1.
Do we have a dump station?
Yes, $5 per dump if camping with us. For public use it’s $10 to dump.
Do we allow kayaks in lake?
Yes, but no fishing from them.
Do we have a place to get fresh water?
Yes we do.
Are there restrooms towards the primitive area?
Yes, we have clean porta-potties.
Do you guys have showers?
Yes, we have a shower house that for our campers to use.
Do you guys have food?
Yes, we serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert!
How many sites do I need for multiple tents?
All primitive sites are different. You get to pick what best accommodates your group.
Can a tent be set up on a hook up site?
Absolutely. You just have to reserve a hook up site.
